ClayEscape opened in February 2000 with 3 main goals:
1. Offer more choices than the competition
2. Offer more assistance than the competition
3. Offer a relaxing, comfortable environment without
the worry of Hourly Studio Fees!!!
Well . . . we've met our goals! With more than 700 different bisque items and no hourly fees, ClayEscape offers lower prices & a larger inventory than other local contemporary studios. We are the perfect place for your party, bridal or baby shower, church/civic group, scout meeting, or ladies' night out . . . or just bring the family for some wholesome fun! We can also come to your site, with our "Pottery Painting To Go".
And that's not all!! Now we offer "warm glass"! Glass fusion is getting very popular, so see our Camps & Classes page for workshops where you can learn to create pendants, bracelets, bowls, coasters,and more, using colorful glass!

HOW TO: Some of our most memorable finished pieces were created by people who came in the door saying,"I don't have any artistic ability at all." A week later, upon seeing their finished project, it's "No way! That can't be my project!" We hear this a lot, because everyone's an artist at ClayEscape! The process is very simple and it works like this:

Summer Studio Hours Closed on Father's Day Monday - Friday 10 am - 9 pm
Saturday 10 am - 7 pm
Sunday 12 noon - 6 pm
If your group needs different hours, just ask & we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Plan Your Design
We have painted samples, photos, idea books, stencils and painting books to inspire you. Of course, our talented ClayEscape staff is happy to help.

Select Your Paints & Brushes
We offer a full array of foodsafe underglazes ("paints") & you may choose as many colors as you want! We also offer 100 specialty glazes for a nominal fee. Our brushes are top quality and well cared-for, not ratty old leftovers. Good brushes make good projects!

Your worries will fall away as you immerse yourself in your project. Warning: Pottery painting can be the best therapy around, but it can be habit-forming.

Finished? ClayEscape is your "Pottery Spa." Just leave everything on the table and we'll clean up the mess. (Yes, I know you are used to cleaning up after yourself, but you'll get used to it!)

Pick up your Masterpiece in 1 week. We'll apply the final clear glaze and fire your project in one of our on-site kilns.
NOTE: Although our glaze & underglaze products are billed as "microwave-safe" by the manufacturers, any china will eventually craze when quickly heated from the inside out. It is just the nature of microwaving, so don't let any other studio tell you differently.
